OVERVIEW

Like many Air Cadet units, 201 squadron was originally formed in WWII and was disbanded shortly after the war.

201 then reformed in 1963.

In May 1967, 201 move to the new headquarters on Somerton Close - officially opened by Air Commodore L H Moulton DFC

In 1988, 201celebrated our 25th anniversary and the opening of a new building.

We have photos covering most of our history but the stories behind those have been lost.  So this website looks to capture the detective work to rebuild that history.
