201(MACCLESFIELD) SQN AIR CADETS

Young people have so much to offer to the world - we believe in the power that they hold, and know that they will mould future generations to come. At 201 (Macclesfield) Squadron, we are here to give them the support they need in order to shape them into leaders of the future.

The ATC is a youth organisation managed under the auspices of the Royal Air Force (RAF). It is staffed by volunteers in a number of roles including: officer, senior non-commissioned officer (SNCO), Civilian Instructor (CI) and Civilian Committee (Civcom) members. All staff are volunteers who are not paid for squadron activities.

201 squadron was originally formed in Macclesfield during the second World War. As with many squadrons it was disbanded at the cease of hostilities, but reformed in 1963 and has been active in the community ever since!
