WHO ARE WE
The Royal Air Force Air Cadets (RAFAC) was established on the 5th February 1941. is a voluntary, uniformed, youth organisation supported by the Royal Air Force. It is open to anyone aged 12 (and in Year 8) to 20. It is considered one of the country's premier youth organisations and the world's largest youth air training organisation
We offer many opportunities, with both aviation and ground-based themes, which help young people to develop as individuals and good citizens. Training at the squadron is delivered by a team of highly motivated and committed Cadet Force Adult Volunteers who give up their time freely to support the young people that we serve; offering them the opportunities to learn leadership skills and teamwork as well as unique activities such as flying, gliding, fieldcraft and marksmanship.
